 This is definitely not you’re typical treasure hunt. Your team or group will have a riot as they follow the trail hunting for the proverbial ‘holy grail’. Along the way they’ll bump into a unsavoury characters who will aid in their quest to complete tasks, seek out clues, find treasures and get back in one piece.
Team about Town™ not only provides the chance to get out of the conference room, but encourages people to get creative and go the extra mile while getting out of their comfort zone.
Your event typically starts after a lunch or afternoon break, often coming as a surprise to guests. A colourful character kicks off the experience through a customised script and energising intro. The theme is typically designed around a key conference message. For example, ‘Dressing Down’ encouraged them to go the extra mile. Joe Cuffe, well known fashion consultant revealed that the local annual fashion week was threatened through theft of latest designs by unscrupulous fashion houses, and too save the show, groups needed to track down and retrieve the stolen fashion garments located around the streets of Adelaide. Rog Dallad, a motivational and spiritual guru from Pekham, London kicked off ‘Feel it, Find it, Live it’ with an interactive ‘Feel it’ exercise straight after lunch. This then lead on to the team challenge of finding ‘the ultimate answer’ with clues around Sydney Harbour.
A short team briefing outlines the task and clues, then the teams jump to action and depart the conference room. For the next couple of hours, they visit local businesses, seek out landmarks, get on the internet, capture themselves on camera doing crazy stuff and collect clues and treasures as they travel by foot, boats, bikes or trams. Highlights are the team interactions with characters along the way.. groups love crooning a tune to Bunny Broad or Blue Eyes the Mermaid, or having their photo taken in crash positions by Barry Blue Movies.
The finale’ brings them back to the conference room and their ‘treasures’ are uniquely combined for a final extravaganza. Dressing Down required groups to use their hi-fashion garments to prepare one of their people for a final catwalk parade. Feel it, Find it, Live it saw 16 groups combine pieces of jigsaw together to create a fabulous mural of their organisation.
Once completed, the event can lead on to a fantastic array of pre dinner drink stories. Optional team debriefing can provide an additional layer of team learning the next morning.
