The annual conferences for a well know FAST Food restaurant chain brings together a total of 750 store managers who are used to fast, furious action.
The organisers sought a team building experience that was engaging, competitive and fun as well as subtly reinforcing of the conference themes; namely customer focus and continuous improvement
WIth 90 mins of action for groups of 150 at a time, a customised variation of The Team Game™ needed to deliver fast, consistent results.
Beat Year Ago Games was adapted from the conference theme as a customised solution.
The program catered for groups of 150 people in one and a half hour sessions, and then scaled to 300 in a single program on a subsequent day.
The competitive nature of the event got participants immediately involved. Groups scored points in 2 ways, one related to customer experience, and the other to continuous improvement.

The creativity of groups was impressive, and those who went the extra mile to deliver and improve their performance in games came out on top. For example, the group who attended to the refreshment needs of their colleagues (pictured), went above and beyond the brief and cleaned up when the final points were tallied.
