Freehills Team about Town

The Employment Law Division of Freehills were holding a staff planning day in Sydney CBD and wanted to add a fun team dimension to round off their afternoon.

However, with a discerning and smart group of people, they were conscious of striking the right chord and so it was important that they were engaged in something meaningful and fun from the outset.

Rather than rolling out a generic team building experience, Team about Town™ was customised to fit their planning day theme, and thus the Art of Commerciality was born.

This linked the fun of an Amazing Race type experience, with commercial savvy and art. After a lively kick off by two highly experienced corporate actors, the group then moved around the city gathering 'art'efacts. Amongst other things, they needed to negotiate a good deal with Tammy Trader, croon a tune to the Idol Judge, and create Photo art of their team in unique locations.

Culminating back at their evening restaurant location, the group revelled in stories of heroics, marvelled at the creative results they produced and applauded the prize winning teams while enjoying a great meal and camaraderie together.

".. thank you for your time and energy last Friday to make our “Team Challenge” a fun and interesting experience.

I have had many positive comments regarding the session from the Group, which is great.  .. this is the first experience we have had using an external provider for a team bonding session and I believe that through our experience last week we will now find it easier to sell the idea for future planning days and conferences. I look forward to working with you again in the future
